Aviation Supplies & Academics, Inc. (ASA) Remote Pilot Ground School - Instructor and Script Writer/Editor
I was invited by Aviation Supplies & Academics, Inc. (ASA) to serve as an instructor for their Remote Pilot Ground School course. I contributed to scripting for the instructional videos and consultation on instruction topics, in addition to travel to Seattle for extensive filming in creation of the on-air instructional videos.
Missouri School of Journalism
At the University of Missouri, I served as one of two primary student pilots for the Missouri School of Journalism's Aerial Journalism Program. As an instructor, I co-lead a drone journalism class of 20+ students per semester, teaching knowledge and practical skills needed to become FAA-certified pilots. The class consisted of both a lecture and a flight lab, where I conducted one-on-one flight instruction with students. In addition to the primary course, I served as a pilot and instructor for an annual Strategic Communications course - where students served as directors of their own commercials while I operated the drone and advised on how they might achieve their desired images. During the summer semesters, I led a drone journalism class for high school students from across the U.S. as part of the Missouri University Journalism Workshop.
